In 2023, we spent more than 300 hours analyzing, connecting, and reflecting to develop a strategic plan that addressed one essential question: What will it take to inspire a spirit of shared responsibility, generosity, and civic health across Greater Miami?
“We had to acknowledge that we are many communities and that people need different supports,” the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation’s Brennan Gould told a crowd of 130+ donors and local leaders at our 2020 State of Black Philanthropy.
Our community’s generosity let to an outstanding finish for the decade, with The Miami Foundation’s donors giving more than $74 million to champion the local causes they cared about in 2019.
This year’s Give Miami Day mobilized a record 24,000+ donors to raise an unprecedented $14.4 million for 834 nonprofits serving Greater Miami.
