Nadege Green is an award-winning journalist for WLRN, South Florida’s NPR station. Nadege uses the power of storytelling to give voices to communities that aren’t always heard. A graduate of Barry University, Nadege covers social justice issues, the local transgender community and dance. She recently featured a group of elementary school kids in Liberty City protesting for the right to play outside safely. Since the story aired, a national mentoring organization set up a program for the young activists. School kids in Brooklyn also heard the piece and are writing letters to the Liberty City students.
