Jasmine Morning brings over a decade of hands-on experience in community development. Her career began early — as a high school student working as a leasing consultant at a local affordable housing community, where she first developed an understanding of community and housing needs. Since then, she has worked across every side of the affordable housing ecosystem: nonprofit community development, for-profit development, and mission-driven finance — analyzing and financially modeling development opportunities, participating in the rehabilitation of single-family and multifamily housing, and helping secure competitive local, state, and federal funding.
Over the course of her career, Jasmine has held development and finance leadership roles with several affordable housing organizations, including one of the largest affordable housing developers in Florida, where she established public-private partnerships with county and housing authority agencies and led the financial closing of more than 200 rental units, 60 homeownership units, and various community assets — approximately $80 million in total.
Having sat on the borrower’s side of the table — sourcing financing, navigating underwriting, and closing complex deals — Jasmine brings a practical, ground-level understanding of what applicants need to succeed, shaping how she supports applicants to The Miami Foundation’s loan programs with clarity and confidence. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida International University (2011) and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development and Urbanism from the University of Miami School of Architecture (2013), and is active in the Miami community through affiliations including Leadership Miami with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the University of Miami Office of Civic and Community Engagement Affordable Housing Scholars, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
