ADVISOR NEWS – PUSHING A CAUSE THROUGH DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

Shakira “Shak” Martin, former Miss Universe Jamaica 2011, was passionate about helping people who, like her, were living with sickle cell anemia. Before her passing, she and her mother, Andrea Hall, wanted to create a foundation to raise awareness and provide services to families. Attorney Marlon Hill, with Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, referred them to The Miami Foundation. We helped them establish the Shak’s Hope Inc. Fund for those impacted by the disease locally and in Jamaica.

We currently manage nearly 300 Donor Advised Funds. To learn more about opening one for a client, please contact Julie Vives.
