Xavier W. Richardson
Miami Connected Fellow, Senior Associate
Xavier W. Richardson is the Miami Connected Fellow at The Miami Foundation. He leads outreach and engagement for the Miami Connected initiative. Miami Connected is focused on ensuring that all students in Miami-Dade County have access to the internet, the skills to make the most of it, and accessible pathways to careers in tech.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Xavier served as a K-8 music instructor in the Charter Schools USA network, leading curriculum design, program development, and technology integration for 1,500 Broward County students. Xavier also managed diversity recruitment and outreach efforts for the University of Florida’s Office of Admissions and Innovation Academy, where he was named Professional Advisor of the Year for launching the university’s first ever Innovation Week and helping student-run startups leverage community resources and tech to scale.
Originally from South Florida, Xavier received bachelor’s degrees in Organ Performance and English (Communications) and Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida. Xavier is currently pursuing his MBA at Babson College and is an active member of the Fort Lauderdale Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where he serves as Assistant Keeper of Exchequer
