De’Sean Weber is the Resilience Manager at The Miami Foundation. He leads the implementation of the Building Prosperity Initiative and supports The Miami Foundation’s Civic Leadership Agenda, focused on addressing critical quality of life issues in Miami-Dade County.
Prior to joining the Foundation, De’Sean was a Program Associate with Advisory Services at The Democracy Collaborative, where he facilitated place-based collaborations throughout the country to advance equitable and inclusive economic strategies. Prior to working at the Democracy Collaborative, De’Sean was as an Emerson National Hunger Fellow at the Congressional Hunger Center, where he worked at the Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services and Prosperity Now to create equitable economic system change responsive to community needs. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, De’Sean graduated from Northwestern University with his bachelor’s degree in anthropology and global health studies.
