Angela Carrillo is an Executive Director and Trust Officer at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Florida. She joined J.P. Morgan in 2020 with 18 years of banking experience focused primarily on wealth management. In her role, Angela works with families who have named J.P. Morgan as trustees in their estate plans. While working closely with her clients’ attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors, she involves other specialists on the J.P. Morgan team to provide comprehensive wealth management planning that assists clients in meeting all of their financial and wealth planning goals. Before joining the Private Bank, Angela was a Trust Advisor at The Northern Trust Company where she was the Lead Relationship Manager for ultra high-net-worth clients. Angela is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami. Angela is an active member of the Junior League of Miami and currently sits on the Board of Directors as the President.

Giselle M. Hugues

Northern Trust – Senior Vice President –  Senior Fiduciary Officer

Giselle joined Northern Trust in April 2019. She is a Senior Fiduciary Officer for the South Florida region and serves as a Trust Team Leader on a Wealth Advisory team located in Miami, FL. She works closely with high-net-worth clients advising them on all aspects of fiduciary and advisory services.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Giselle was in private law practice and worked for another financial institution in their Wealth Management Department as a Wealth Strategist. Her practice focused on advising clients on estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship administration, and corporate litigation matters. Her private clients included individuals, families, business owners, corporate fiduciaries, and charitable organizations. She earned her B.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Miami, a J.D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and an L.L.M. degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami.

She is actively involved in several civic and nonprofit organizations in the local community. She is a member of The Florida Bar and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (“RPPTL”) Section, American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, University of Miami Citizens Board, United Way of Miami-Dade Young Leaders and Women United Executive Council. She is also an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida.

Juan Toro

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, he was raised in New York City.

Juan is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and earned his B.A. in Economics from Boston University. Active in the greater Miami community, Juan has served on the boards of The American Red Cross of Miami Dade and the Keys, Florida Grand Opera, Hands on Miami, the Bakehouse Art Complex, The Nu-Deco Ensemble, and The Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).

Mark Scott, J.D., LL.M

Kaufman Rossin – Principal

Mark Scott is a leader in Kaufman Rossin’s estate and trust practice. He conceptualizes and helps clients implement intricate estate planning strategies, both domestically and internationally. In addition, Scott provides clients with gift and trust tax planning as well as estate and gift tax return examination services. He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Tax Section’s Chair-Elect.  Scott is also an adjunct professor at the University of Miami’s School of Law, teaching the federal income taxation of trusts and estates, in the Graduate Program in Taxation. Scott is a past president of the Greater Miami Tax Institute and Greater Miami Estate Planning Council.  Lastly, he served on The Miami Foundation’s Board of Trustees in several capacities.

Robert (Bobby) Moore is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s North America Tax Practice Group (NATPG) and the former managing partner of the firm’s Miami office. He regularly advises U.S. and foreign-based multinational corporations and partnerships focused on luxury hotels, residences, and resorts, real estate development, and consumer goods and retail in luxury and fashion. He is Chambers rated in Chambers USA for Tax. Bobby also is actively focused on the Firm’s inclusion and diversity efforts and is the Chair of the North America Diversity and Inclusion Committee, a member of the North America Anti-Racism Taskforce, and was the past co-chair of the New York and Miami I&D Committee. In 2020, he led the team in establishing the North America Tax Practice Group’s first annual tax mentorship program in partnership with the National Black Law Students Association.

Steven Hadjilogiou

McDermott Will & Emery – Partner

Steven Hadjilogiou’s practice focuses primarily on inbound and outbound international tax planning for multinational companies and high-net-worth individuals. He’s represented Fortune 500 companies in their tax planning and supply chain projects, pre-immigration planning, and cross-border wealth succession. He also has substantial experience advising on transfer pricing, tax-related intellectual property matters, Subpart F, and foreign investment in US real property. A published writer, he was instrumental in drafting the amicus curiae brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the Florida Bar Tax Section in Knight v. Commissioner in 2008. Hadjilogiou is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami Graduate Tax Program and co-chairs the annual Florida Bar/FICPA International Tax Conference.

Cassandra S. Nelson, Esq. is an associate in the law firm of Nelson & Nelson, P.A., in North Miami Beach, Florida. She joined Nelson & Nelson, P.A. in 2017. Cassandra is recognized in Ones to Watch in the practice area of Trusts and Estates in the 2022 and 2023 editions of Best Lawyers in America®. She practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, asset protection, tax, special needs trusts, guardianships, and probate administration. Cassandra Nelson is involved with The Victory Center for Autism and Behavioral Challenges (a not-for-profit corporation). As the older sister of an adult brother with severe autism, Cassandra has a unique interest in assisting children with disabilities and their families.
