Andres Pino

Professional Bank – Senior Vice President of Private Banking

 

Andres J. Pino recently joined Professional Bank as senior vice president of private banking. He brought over 10 years of experience handling commercial real estate and construction lending services as it applied to private banking. Throughout his career, Pino has managed key components of residential and commercial construction loans, including loan structuring, reviewing of construction plans and contracts as well as budgets. He is a member of the University of Miami Citizens Board, Coral Gables Bar Association and the Coral Gables Community Foundations’ Ponce Society of Young Professionals.

Angela M. Carrillo,  MBA

The Northern Trust Company – Senior Vice President 

 

Angela M. Carrillo joined The Northern Trust Company in 2002. In 2014, she became the lead relationship manager and senior trust advisor in wealth advisory services. Carrillo specializes in assisting ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with wealth management, asset protection, estate planning, trust and estate administration, guardianship and foundation needs. She is a member of the discretionary actions committee and has been an active member of the Junior League of Miami since 2011, serving on the board of directors as well as the executive management team as vice president of membership and development.

David Appel

Cherry Bekaert– Tax Partner, Managing Partner

 

David Appel is the tax partner and managing partner of Cherry Bekaert’s South Florida practice. He has over 30 years of experience providing tax planning and consulting services to publicly traded and privately held corporations, including closely held entities, S corporations, partnerships, controlled groups and individuals. He’s a member of the firm’s executive board and remains active in professional and community organizations. His widely recognized leadership has earned him a spot on South Florida Business Journal’s “Top 100 Power Leaders” for the past four years.

Emanuel Galimidi

Lydecker Diaz – Lawyer

 

Emanuel Galimidi is a partner at Lydecker Diaz and acts as general counsel for a number of national and international enterprises. Galimidi handles a wide range of complex litigation and transactional matters while advising clients on domestic and foreign real estate transactions. He was recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers, an honor granted to only 2.5% of the state’s attorneys each year. Galimidi is a member of both the Dade County Bar Association and Young Presidents of Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation.

Frank Gonzalez 

MBAF – Principal-in-Charge, Audit Department

 

Frank Gonzalez is the principal-in-charge of the audit department at MBAF and leads both the firm’s financial institutions and SEC practices. Gonzalez oversees the firm’s audit practice, including the execution of processes and quality control, maintaining the department’s standards and ensuring his team follows best practices. He provides business consulting, litigation support and SEC compliance services to organizations across industries. Gonzalez sits on the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the South Florida Banking Institute.

Gus Vega

Gus Vega co-founded WealthEngage. He orchestrates holistic planning and investment strategy across the practice. He is a certified financial planner, chartered financial consultant (ChFC) and accredited investment fiduciary (AIF). Vega is a member of the University of Miami Citizens Board and Mentorship Program, Knights of Columbus and founding member of L.I.V.E. (Lead Innovate Volunteer Empower).

Jose Antonio Hernandez-Solaun

The Easton Group – President

 

Jose A. Hernandez-Solaun is president of The Easton Group, a real estate brokerage, management and development firm, and sits on The Miami Foundation’s Board of Trustees. His commitment shines through the several nonprofits he’s founded including L.I.V.E., Lead305 and The Hernandez-Solaun Foundation. He’s also served as board chair of the American Diabetes Association and MIT Enterprise Forum of South Florida.

 

Joseph Falk

Akerman – Public Policy Advisor

Joe Falk advocates before state and federal legislature and agencies on behalf of mortgage brokers. A frequent speaker nationally recognized for his extensive experience, Falk has testified before Congress on a variety of mortgage regulatory and financial reform issues. Prior to pivoting into government affairs, he spent 23 years as president and CEO of Metropolitan Mortgage Company. Falk sits on the board of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and acted as chairman and past president of National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Juan Toro

Juan Toro is a managing director and private client advisor with Bank of America Private Bank. Toro works primarily with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, couples and families offering a boutique-like approach grounded in intensive personalization and client privacy. Prior to his current position, Toro spent over 20 years in varying leadership positions at both domestic and international banks. He’s served on the boards of the American Red Cross of Miami Dade and the Keys, Florida Grand Opera, HandsOn Miami, the Bakehouse Art Complex and Nu-Deco Ensemble.

Mark Scott is a leader in Kaufman Rossin’s estate and trust practice. He specializes in creating and implementing intricate estate planning strategies. In addition, Scott provides clients with gift and trust tax planning as well as estate and gift tax return examination services. He is a member of The Florida Bar, director and secretary of The Florida Bar Tax Section and adjunct professor at the University of Miami’s School of Law, teaching federal income taxation of trusts and estate. Scott is also the development committee chair on The Miami Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Marsha G. Madorsky, P.A. is an established lawyer with years of experience managing estate, trust and guardianship matters with a focus on wealth preservation and succession planning. She has been a member of numerous Florida Bar committees, including the Judicial Rules Committee, Continuing Legal Education Committee, Tax Certification Committee and served as chair of the Probate Rules Committee. Madorsky has been named a Florida Super Lawyer and Florida Legal Elite for over 15 years.

Robert Moore

Robert Moore is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s North America Tax Practice Group (NATPG) and managing partner of the firm’s Miami office. He counsels multinational corporations on international tax planning and global tax projects, including intangible property migration, supply and distribution chain restructuring, corporate reorganizations and financing strategies. Moore also advises on Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA) and treaty-related issues for foreign clients investing or operating in the U.S. In 2013, he was a finalist in Daily Business Review’s Most Effective Lawyer contest and named a 40 under 40 Rising Star by the publication.

Silvana Roncal

Silvana Roncal has over three decades of experience in wealth advisory and asset management. She held positions at CitiBank, ANZ Merchant Bank, Socimer International Corporation and EFG International prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2013. A triathlete and Ironman, Roncal has led fundraising efforts for several causes including Chapman Partnership. She currently sits on the board of directors for LEAP, a nonprofit educating and empowering incarcerated women before their re-entry into society.

Steven Hadjilogiou

McDermott Will & Emery – Partner

 

Steven Hadjilogiou’s practice focuses primarily on inbound and outbound international tax planning for multinational companies and high-net-worth individuals. He’s represented Fortune 500 companies in their tax planning and supply chain projects, pre-immigration planning and cross-border wealth succession. He also has substantial experience advising on transfer pricing, tax-related intellectual property matters, Subpart F and foreign investment in US real property. A published writer, he was instrumental in drafting the amicus curiae brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the Florida Bar Tax Section in Knight v. Commissioner in 2008. Hadjilogiou is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami Graduate Tax Program and co-chairs the annual Florida Bar/FICPA International Tax Conference.
