The Coral City Foundation’s core mission is to document, protect, research, and raise awareness of Miami’s pioneering urban corals. The CCF aims to maximize the scientific and civic value of the corals growing on seawalls, jetties, causeways, and other manmade structures within Miami-Dade County. The CCF will accomplish its goals through the use of the Coral City Camera livestream in public places, the establishment of an urban coral nursery, habitat surveys in North Biscayne Bay, creative media production for educational outreach, and collaborations with other organizations tasked with protecting Florida’s threatened corals.
