The Miami Foundation works to mobilize donors, businesses and public leaders to support a thriving Miami-Dade County. This is especially true in times of disaster. We leverage our unique strengths, relationships, reach and knowledge to assess critical needs and identify strategic investments that will ensure our community is resilient and prepared for potential disasters, and ensure equitable relief and long-term recovery is achieved.

Support our Disaster Resilience Fund. Year-round, the Fund supports efforts to prepare the community with information and resources to be more resilient when disaster strikes. During a crisis, the Fund supports relief and recovery efforts in Miami-Dade County.

  • Preparedness: Providing resources to help build resiliency within our local community, and the capacity of our local nonprofits to serve our most vulnerable in times of disaster

  • Relief: Mobilizing funds to assist community nonprofits in providing basic human needs services and supplies in times of disaster

  • Recovery + Resilience: Restoring the capacity of community nonprofits to help residents recover, cope with, and prepare for future disasters
