The Foundation created the Miami Leaders program in 2011 to develop the leadership skills and management competencies of emerging nonprofit leaders in Greater Miami. Over the decade that followed, we were able to award grants to nearly 70 nonprofit leaders that enabled them to attend premier executive education programs in Greater Miami and around the country.
With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, we paused the program, as our partners at local and national universities had to adapt what had been in-person experiences to new virtual formats. The Foundation is working to reimagine our own approach to building the capacity of leaders in our nonprofit community that can provide both valuable knowledge and a rich experience.
