Pilar Guzman Zavala (Miami, Florida) is the president of Half Moon Empanadas, a fast-casual concept in Miami that provides retail and catering services, offering 11 flavors of Argentinian-style empanadas. Her previous work includes serving as the Director of the Office of International Affairs for the state of Veracruz, Mexico, as well as a consultant at the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Pilar is passionate about helping others and making a difference. She has been involved in the community as a past Board Member for Amigos For Kids and supported the launch of Unite for Good in Miami. She is also a Miami Leadership graduate. Pilar lives with her husband, Juan, and is the mother of Diego and Sofia. They live in Surfside, Florida.
