Francesca de Quesada Covey’s career spans both public and private sectors focusing on how innovation leads to greater economic opportunity. Currently, she leads a team of operating partners investing in global pre-seed and seed companies at TheVentureCity. She also serves as Innovation and Technology Advisor to Mayor Levine Cava of Miami-Dade County.
Prior to these roles, Francesca worked at Meta where she drove cross-company strategy in the office of the CEO/COO and helped launch some of the companies biggest efforts for underserved communities including Internet.org, SMB commerce, and the company’s crypto efforts at Libra/Novi. Francesca served as Deputy Counselor for Strategic Engagement in the Obama White House. She started her career in finance. She is a board member of the Cuba Study Group and of Equis Research.
Francesca has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from Columbia University and a master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences-Po).
