Vice President for Strategy and Engagement
Rebecca Mandelman is the Vice President for Strategy and Engagement. She serves in a cross-functional capacity, directing development efforts, managing internal and external engagement strategies and helping guide the public affairs and communications efforts as well.
In her position, Rebecca leverages strong multi-sector relationships built during more than 10 years of experience in local nonprofit management. Prior to joining the Foundation as a consultant in 2014, she served as deputy executive director of the Americas Business Council Foundation, a private philanthropy that funds and accelerates Latin American social and environmental impact organizations. Previously, she led corporate and event fundraising as the senior director of development at the New World Symphony during the construction and grand opening of its Frank Gehry-designed facility in Miami Beach.
An active member of the Miami community, Rebecca has served on the boards of Friends of the New World Symphony, Overtown Music Project, Georgetown Alumni Club of Miami, Chapman Partnership’s Next Gen Council and Our City Thoughts. As a supporter of local startups and entrepreneurs, she has also advised The New Tropic, amp.it, and Lulu’s Ice Cream. Originally from New York City, Rebecca graduated cum laude from Georgetown University and received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
