Jennet Colliflower Keys Nursing Scholarship
The Colliflower Family established the Jennet Colliflower Keys Nursing Scholarship to honor the memory of Jennet Colliflower Keys, a woman who dedicated her life to nursing and the care and wellbeing of children. Scholarships are awarded to junior or senior level undergraduate nursing students.
Applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 30, 2012.
Rodney Thaxton Justice Scholarship
Martin E. Segal Scholarship
The Rodney Thaxton Justice Scholarship was established to honor the memory of a great social advocate. Scholarships are awarded to African American students who are committed to social justice. Martin E. Segal, a lawyer and lecturer, established the Martin E. Segal Fund to augment the annual scholarship granting of the Rodney Thaxton Justice Fund.
Applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 30, 2012.
Give Kids a Chance Scholarship
The Give Kids a Chance Scholarship was established by Brian McDonough, Esq. to support children of lower income families. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors desiring to continue their education but need additional financial assistance to do so. Recipients are eligible for additional awards given they maintain full-time status and meet academic requirements.

The College Assistance Program (CAP, Inc.) was established in 1978 by G. Holmes Braddock, a Miami-Dade School Board Member, who had the vision to help economically disadvantaged graduates of Miami-Dade County public high schools achieve a higher education. CAP, Inc. provides last-dollar scholarships to Miami-Dade County public high school grads who have exhausted all avenues of financial assistance (federal, state and institutional) to cover unmet financial needs.
