Miami HEAT Charitable Fund
Through the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund at The Miami Foundation, HEAT players, coaches, executives and volunteers work together to raise awareness and support programs for the betterment of at-risk families in South Florida. The HEAT have many programs they support, including college scholarships, reading programs, afterschool programs and youth basketball leagues. Most recently, they established the Home Strong program which honors and salutes the men and women in uniform for their dedication to the United States Armed Forces. The program addresses the unmet needs of military personnel and their families who have recently returned back from Iraq and Afghanistan and reside in South Florida.
The Miami HEAT have awarded over $13 million to charitable organizations in our community, including SafeSpace, a domestic violence shelter for women and children, the Jackson Memorial Foundation’s Guardian Angels, Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson, and The Miami Coalition for a Safe and Drug Free Community which offers life changing preventative programs to promote clean and healthy lifestyles among Miami’s youth.
We are proud partners of the HEAT and applaud them for all their success on and off the court.
