Richard Shack, 1926-2012

Our thoughts are with the Shack Family, as Richard Shack, husband of President Emeritus Ruth Shack, passed away Monday. Richard was an avid contemporary art collector and helped establish Miami’s Museum of Contemporary Art. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He and Ruth have lived in Miami since the late 1950s. Their work has been instrumental in shaping our city and it is a better place because of them. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Miami Foundation’s Leadership Fund in honor of Richard Shack. For more click here.
